Hands On With Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2: Install GP Add-in for Microsoft Word

Microsoft Dynamics GPWith the release of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2 it’s time for a series of “hands on” posts where I go through the installation of all of it’s components; the index for this series can be found here.

As of Microsoft Dynamics 2010, Word Templates can be used for the production of reporets such as Purchase Orders, Check Remittances and Sales Invoices, and more.

The Word Templates are fully customisable, but to get the best out of customising them, you need to have the Microsoft Dynamics GP Add-in for Microsoft Word installed. This can be found on the installation media under Additional Products:

There is a prerequisite, whcih needs to be installed first, so click Accept to accept the terms of the licence agreement for the Visual Studio Tools for the Office system 3.0 Runtime Service Pack 1:

Accept the License Agreement and click Next:

Confirm the installation path and click Install to begin the installation:

Once the installation is complete, click Finish:
